This screenprinting brief instructions were to interpret times of day. At this time, I lived near a high school where I found the parking lot to evoke an almost romantic memory late in the afternoon sunlight. There was such a strong connection for me with this place and a time of day, that I began to explore other places: the Foxy Lady strip club, Cup-a-Joe coffee shop, Hillsborough Street in the middle of town. In each of my explorations, I collected pieces of the landscape to assemble the project. Fortunately, the state fair was also in town, which provided interesting garbage, in particular half eaten candy apples.

I then screenprinted bits of a story on top of a map in order to fully tell the process of my places and times of day. These stories provided an emotional connection to the clinical display of trash.
